If you're having a Halloween party this year (like we always do!) you'll need to plan it in good time, and like all great parties a Halloween party starts with inviting the guests!
Getting the message across in the spookiest way possible will help bring your friends and family together to have a great time, and will hopefully be the envy of all Spooksville.
Before you buy anything for your party, don't forget to check out the bag in the attic, labelled Halloween. We tend to forget this bit, and end up duplicating the stuff left over from last year!!
Using our Halloween Wizard will mean the invites are ready to print and hand out in just a few, not so scary, minutes. If you're not quite ready yet, don't worry - just enter what details and guests you have, then save as a draft. You can come back later and add or change the details, you can even add those inevitable last minute guests!
Make sure you give yourself plenty of time to hand out or post the invites. Don't forget your guests need time to respond as well!
The paper you choose can make the difference between a great looking invite to a Halloween party, and a classy invitation that the wicked Witch of the North could well have boiled up in her cauldron! Although normal everyday printer paper will look great, why not try some value glossy photo paper from the supermarket, don't forget to test print first!!
Each invite comes with a personalised tear off strip for your guests to RSVP. Among the normal contact details, you can include your contact numbers and email address. All of which are optional.
Don't forget to buy your pumpkin in time to spookify it, although buying it too early can end up with something far less fun, let alone scary to look at!
As is always the case you'll get those even later last minute guests. When this happens, just select and print the invites with no guest name, (which are included in your invitation file) print as many as you need, hand write their names, then hand them out!
If, like us, you go to extremes you will need to dress up the house and garden. Work out what games you are going to play, add a grave stone or two to the garden, and to really scare the little darlings, add some smoke, green lights, and the odd sound effect (Just search the web for Halloween sounds). Works a TREAT at scaring off the younger trick or treaters!!
To get started, click here to conjure up the invitation wizard, then choose a design, add your details, play around with it until its right, then purchase and print. If you get stuck, send us an email and we'll do our best to get you going.

Instead of having the kids run riot round the house why not hold old-fashioned party games but with a halloween theme? You can do "Pass the parcel" & put spider jelly sweets inbetween each layer of paper & instead of "pin the tail on the donkey" you can do "stick the broom on the witch".

Last year I invited my daughters friends round for a pumpkin competition. It keeps the kids (& parents) busy & it also saved me from having to decorate the house myself. It was good fun & the house looked great with all the different pumpkins.
